I’m pleased as punch to announce my newest project, ‘Secret Gold’, has launched on Kickstarter!
‘Secret Gold’ was inspired by a couple of social media prompts about the mechanics of a modern magical society– and turned into a beautiful teen romance about aspirations and soul mates.
In a world where magic is the lifeblood of society and the fantastic is just as accessible as modern technology, finding your soulmate should be as easy as flicking a wand, right? Even with the mass production of a luxury magical device called a Soul Tracker explicitly designed to assist hopeless romantics, the odds are still stifling.
Add to this that one’s level of magic is genetically set, and Margerie Krietz’s hopes of ever meeting her soul mate are slim to none. Margerie’s magic aptitude test scores are abysmal, and as the potential heiress of a rather large and influential magic device business, she finds herself at risk of losing her birthright.
Desperate to boost her grades her senior year, Margerie reaches out to her professor for help — but when her tutor turns out to be the handsome heir to a competing conglomerate, it becomes apparent that her path to success is more convoluted than ever.
The final costs to bring this novella to life. With your support, I will be able to cover the editing and printing costs for an approx. 100 book run. Professional editing: Approximately $225 (I’ve proofread my own work, but having a bit of polish from a professional is always a good idea, and an experienced editor is priceless!) Printing & Production Costs for an approx. 100 book run Total estimated cost: $465. The remaining funds will be used to offset book shipping costs, Kickstarter’s processing fee, and taxes related to the project.
Please use the link below to become a backer, if you’re interested in obtaining a copy of this beautiful book, or please copy the link and share it across social media so more people see it!

Some points to know about what I will and will not draw:
NO: Porn or graphic nudity
No: mechanical heavy images. I suck at drawing guns and machines... don't make me do it, it won't be pretty.
No: Photo-realism. I have a style, and that style is comic/anime.... outside of that, results may vary.
No: Overly-exaggerated anatomy requests. I struggle with the usual anatomy some days, thank you.
No: Gore
Yes: anime characters, comic book characters, males, females, cyborgs, cartoon characters, anthro, critters, video game characters, LGBT, pin-up, chibis, tasteful semi-nudity, mild violence (fist fight or lightly battered character)
General Pricing & Guidelines:
My rule for sketch commissions is you get what I feel like drawing, if you're looking for a down-to-the-letter-specific pose/super complicated scene, please order a line-art or higher tier commission. I charge fairly for the effort it takes me-- so sketches are pretty cheap, and I'd like to keep it that way. That being said, if you are dead-set on a piece of finished pencil work, or something that's more complicated than a basic sketch-- email me a description of what you're looking for and I'll come up with a price quote.
Like many artists, from time to time my workload eases or unexpected financial issues lead to an open-call for commissions. That's not to say I will only take commissions during an open-call, but please don't take it personal if you message me and I can't take on the extra work at that time. Try again when I post I'm free for commissions.

Hi guys!
Time for a quick, fun art contest!
Check out my A Plus B page on facebook: www.facebook.com/APlusBManga
The theme is school, because I really love the idea of expanding on the idea of Litmore Academy, the school our marvelous trio from A+B attend. Nestled in the hills outside of a quiet town in New York, it’s a premier academy far from the distractions of large cities where the children of the elite can focus on their studies and form life-long friends as they eagerly await the freedom of graduation.
So, let’s come up with an awesome design for the Litmore Academy uniforms! The rules are simple, and check out all the inspiration materials below!
To enter, submit a three piece minimum uniform (either male or female, or both, stretch those designer muscles!) incorporating the school colors of blue and gold. A pinterest board has been set up for the contest, or you can message your entry on Facebook or email it with your information to MaeganCookCreates@gmail.com with “Litmore Academy” in the subject.
Entries will be accepted from April 10 through the 24 (but early entries are welcome!)
Judgment will be based on the uniform’s creativity, wear-ability, and solely on the fashion aspect of the art. If you don’t feel comfortable drawing figures, or you just want to focus on the fashion, please feel free to use this base for your submission: mireielle.deviantart.com/art/F…
Winners will be announced on the A+B website, and on the Facebook page. There will be one winner, whose design will appear as an official design with credits to the artist; and up to 5 runner ups.
In addition to seeing their design flaunted by the students of Litmore Academy, the winner will have their selection of a piece of free A+B merchandise in the store, and a $25 amazon gift card!
Runner ups will win their work displayed on the Facebook page and website, as well as an exclusive code to get up to 50% off A+B merchandise from the store!
